Lily is Six!

Lily wrote everyone's names on the balloons. This one is Scottorn's, "SGODRN" she is too cute!
She picked Honeycomb for her breakfast cereal and some strawberry banana juice.

She chose pizza for her birthday dinner and we made a six with the pepperoni.

My sweet little Lily is six years old. She is a true joy to have in our family. I have to say that I think it is absolutely perfect that her birthday is close to Valentine's Day. It fits her personality well to have a feeling of love and kindness in the air. She is so good to everyone. She and Ammon are the best of friends. She is so helpful and kind to Anna and she loves to carry Scottorn around and make him smile. I don't know what we would do without her. She loves to make everyone happy. She always shares everything she has. She leaves little notes and pictures for us and secretly makes Anna's bed for her and sometimes mine too! She loves to play with her friends and really loves her Littlest Pet Shops right now. She also loves her Webkinz and Pink Pony. She is an animal lover. She loves to draw and cut and glue and create. She loves school and homework and cries if I tell her she can't do her homework. Lily is a great blessing to our whole family and brings a smile to anyone who looks at her! Happy Birthday Lily, we love you!
We decided kind of last minute to do a birthday party for her. She invited a few friends from her kindergarten class and had them all wear their pajamas. We decorated door hangers, played tape the face on the star, catch shooting stars and a relay race. Of course we also had cake and ice cream. All of it was her idea. She had a lemon cake and chocolate ice cream. She had a wonderful time at her party and it was fun to have new friends come over. She has a lot of really neat kids in her class. I am glad they could come and celebrate with her.

My Birthday

Anna giving me my gift.
Pictures from the girls.

I celebrated my 29th birthday last Tuesday. Thanks to an amazing husband, four sweet children and very thoughtful family and friends, I had a wonderful day. I had to go grocery shopping (it was the 1st) which I would have preferred to just stay home, but it wasn't bad at all. Lily and Anna helped me bake a lemon bundt cake. Adam was going to buy me one from this bakery called Nothing Bundt Cakes, but I wouldn't let him because they were $30.00! I told him I'd gladly make it and the girls would have a blast helping me. Besides, it isn't that hard to make a cake from a mix in a box. I enjoyed the afternoon with the girls and then after we got Ammon from school we headed to Macaroni Grill for dinner. The food was good and they brought me out an awesome piece of chocolate cake. Needless to say, we didn't eat my cake when we got home. But we did enjoy the next two days in a row! I made an orange glaze frosting for it and it was delicious! Adam totally spoiled me with gifts, as usual. I got sweet cards from each of the kids and hugs and kisses from them too, a nice white dress coat, a mirror for my hallway, socks and new knives! I have never been so excited to cut up food before. It is amazing how much of a difference a good knife can make! I also got two collage frames for my hallway from my mom and some clothes and money from Adam's parents. I also got calls, messages or texts from all my family and many friends. My dad sent a great big birthday hug through the phone for me too! I was also glad to get phone calls from my grandparents. I love them all so much and love to hear their voices. I wish I was closer so I could see them and all my family more... All in all it was a great day. Thank you to all of you for helping me to feel loved and special on my birthday.

Three Months!

Wow, were has the time gone? My cute little baby is getting so big. He is about 16 pounds and still super-happy. He loves to be talked to. He is learning that crying gets results. It is kind of funny and really cute. I'll lay him down to do something and he'll get so mad. He cries like I broke his heart. If I pick him up he is fine, silly boy! Most of the time he will cheer up if one of the kids will simply go over and look at him and talk to him. He loves attention and gets a lot of it! Anna still loves her baby 'broder' and tells him he is cute while she softly rubs his head. She is a sweetie. Ammon loves having Scottorn sleep in his room. I had him on the couch for awhile, but right before Thanksgiving I had him start sleeping in his crib. He is doing really well and Ammon is happy not to be alone anymore.

We absolutely love Scottorn! What a blessing he is. We all love it when he tries to talk to us. It is so sweet. I really don't think that there could possibly be a happier baby in the whole world! He is so good. When he gets tired, he just falls asleep! Sometimes I can't believe how good he is! Oh, I think he is going to be a finger sucker. I don't know which one he'll decide on, but he sure chomps on his hands a lot.

Catching up!

Veteran's Day Parade

Slow on getting the pictures done as you can tell the pumpkins weren't looking too hot!

Scottorn in his cute Halloween jammies.

He chills out in his Bumbo for short periods of time. He isn't crazy about it yet, but I love it!
Anna relaxing while she eats. She is so funny!

Scottorn's Blessing

We blessed Scottorn yesterday at church and he cried through the whole thing. I was glad that I was still able to hear everything Adam said. It was a nice blessing and he looked so handsome in his little outfit. My mom came in Friday morning to spend the weekend and Adam's parents came up Sunday morning. We had a nice lunch after church and invited the Shannon's over to eat with us as well. They are great friends! I also spoke in Sacrament meeting on how the priesthood has blessed my life. It was a great topic to be able to speak on. I am so thankful for Adam and the wonderful husband he is. I am thankful he honors his priesthood and is able to bless our family by doing so.
