Ammon's Baptism

In a nutshell...

March: Potty trained Anna
April: Dug a huge hole in our rock/dirt in the backyard for the tramp.
May: Put the backyard in.
June: Celebrated our 10 year anniversary. Lily finished kindergarten. Ammon finished 2nd grade. Went to Sacramento and Ammon turned 8!
July: Went to Utah. Went on a week long staycation and had a blast!

Ammon is getting baptized this weekend! We are all so excited for him! He will also start 3rd grade next week. Maybe after the kids are back in school I can find some time to blog more. I have been terrible about it! Scottorn is 11 months old and getting into everything. He is so much fun! Anna is growing up fast and turning out to be so cute. She is so energetic and dramatic. We love her happiness! Lily is almost ready to start 1st grade and can't wait for school. She loves our neighbors puppies and is sad that only 3 of the 8 are left. She wishes we could have one. I do too! We have had a blast this summer. Sacramento, Utah, camping, boating, Tahoe...fun, fun, fun! Maybe I'll get a chance to post more pictures soon!

Snow day!

Two weeks ago we woke up to a winter wonderland! It was beautiful! We don't get much snow here, so to get that much was amazing. Church got cancelled, which is funny because living in both Utah and Omaha, that never happens for that amount of snow. Anyway, we were happy to have a day to relax and enjoy the snow. We had a foot of snow on the tramp and the kids had fun jumping in it. We also built an awesome fort in the front yard. Too bad it was gone by Thursday! It was sunny and warm and every day another wall had fallen down. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted!

Six Months

Scottorn is such a delight! I have never known of a happier baby, EVER! He is absolutely amazing. I love his smiles and kisses and laughter. He is a gift from heaven for sure! This was a big week for him. He finally learned how to roll over from his back to his belly and Friday his bottom left tooth came in! He is getting big so fast! He loves to play with toys, especially the hard ones that make a lot of noise when he bangs them on his tray. It's no fun when he whacks his head though, which he does too often! He is getting better at the Johnny Jump and would probably use it more if Anna didn't insist on always using it instead! That girl is funny!
Scottorn was almost all better last week. His cough sounded so much better and then, it struck again! He sounds so gross. All the kids do. I don't know what they caught, but I don't want it. I hope it goes away soon and that we can be a healthy family again. I haven't been to church in two months and am afraid to go once we are all better. I am just glad that Scottorn has stayed happy through it all. He is eating well, sleeping well, playing, is happy, but just has a nasty cough. Dear Cough, Please go away! Sincerely, Our Whole Family!!!!

Oh, Scottorn might get his first haircut today or tomorrow and I will put on some cute pictures of him later.

Five Months

Well, Scottorn got sick at the very beginning of January and was sick for the whole month. It was only really bad for two weeks and he is actually sick again, GRRRR! I hate it when my kids are sick, it makes me so sad! Anyway, January was a rough month for all of us. We all got sick twice. We just kept passing it around. Scottorn had a sore throat, fever, earaches, cough...yuck!

Scottorn is 5 months today! He is so sweet and happy. He loves to spit raspberries and is starting to try to grab toys. He loves Ammon, Lily, Anna, and of course, Mom and Dad. He is such a joy and we all love him.

3 1/2 Months and 4 Months

These were taken around the middle of December so he was about 3 1/2 months. I absolutley LOVE his chubby cheeks!

This is from journal from December 28th:
Scottorn is four months old today! I can't believe how quickly the time has gone. He is such a joy. I love him to pieces. He is so so so happy and so mellow. He just falls asleep when I lay him down if he is tired. He will chill out on the floor for quite awhile when I need to get things done. He loves to have us look at him and talk to him. He is getting to be pretty social. He coos, spits, smiles, and his whole body squirms when he talks. He is the happiest baby ever! He is such a blessing in our home. All the kids just love him too! Ammon changed his wet diaper for me today and he did a good job. Scottorn just smiled at him the whole time.
