My Speed Bump!

So I call my little guy my little speed bump because he has really made me slow down! I felt great until 28 weeks and then really started slowing down after that. It hit me again at 32 weeks and I slowed down more and stopped running and then again at 34 weeks and had to stop walking. I can't believe how slow I am sometimes! All my kids can beat me right now. They think it is funny that I can't really chase them down the hall. It is pretty funny! By 36 weeks I was much slower and my back was killing me! Somehow though at 38 weeks I started feeling much better. I am still slow, but my back feels better and I honestly feel great for being almost due. I love being pregnant! I love feeling my baby move! I love that it is such a beautiful miracle and that I have the great blessing to be a part of it. I can honestly say I will truly miss being pregnant. It is so amazing. Even with all the aches and pains and slowness and having to get up to use the bathroom 3-4 times at night, I love it all! I am so excited for this little guy to join our family on the outside, but will really miss him being inside me.

Bye Bye Truck!

I am a little sad to say that we sold Adam's truck yesterday. It was kind of random, but it was good. Adam made a post on Craig's list about a month ago and got a call about it on Saturday. The guy came by, loved it and wanted it. Adam dropped it off for the guy yesterday. It is always nice when you can make a little money selling a vehicle and not lose some! We got a great deal on it last year and Adam takes such great care of his things that it is in absolutley perfect condition. So it was good deal for us and still a great deal for the buyer too! As soon as our little guy arrives we will have outgrown it! We don't want to have to take two cars when we go boating, so we are hoping to upgrade to a Suburban. We are also going to sell the van and get Adam a good commuter car. It is funny how you get attached to a car. We have had a lot of good and fun memories with that truck and will really miss it! Bye bye truck!

More of the kid's funny words...

While I am thinking about it....
Lily mixes up her th and f sounds, so finger=thinger She knows how to say it, but it is really funny that she will switch those sounds on almost any word!
Ammon says guypume instead of vacuum.
They also say
Grill=Girl.
Reald= World.
Beef Jerky=Beef Turkey.
Construction=Estruction.
Polly Pockets=Dolly Pockets.
Ammon calls a light sleeper a tender sleeper.
Anna calls horses Nay Nays (becasue a horse neighs).
Ammon and Lily used to call puppies ruffies (because a puppy says ruff ruff).
Kids are so simple. I think they actually make a lot of sense the way they say things.
That is all I can think of now, but I will add more as I remember!

Donner Lake

We had Adam's Summer Work Party up at Donner Lake this year. It was gorgeous up there! Cold water, but absolutely beautiful. They rented a nice cabin and we slept in bunk beds on Friday night. We had fun at the lake and on the boat and had good food too! It was a good weekend. Most people brought their whole family this year so our kids were in heaven! They didn't want anything to do with us or the boats, all they wanted to do was play with the kids. Adam works with a lot of really great people. They are so nice. Some of them were super-nice, but I think it might have been because they had had a ton to drink! That is one thing that is so crazy about his work parties is there is always tons of alcohol. Everyone knows we don't drink and respects it, which I appreciate. Many of them were in shock that we are having baby #4 too. It is so funny how the world's philosophies are so different from the church. I feel like our family is regular size, not huge! Anyway, it was fun!

The Girl's Beds

Anna's bed with her new purple bedspread from Grandma Margie.
Lily's bed with her favorite blanket from Grandma Christy.

Nadeane, this is the dresser you gave us before we had Ammon. First we painted it white, but it was pretty trashed after all our moving so when we were in St. George I let the kids help me paint it for the girl's room. Thanks for the dresser!

So I finally got the beds finished! Well, my dad did. Thanks to him and all his help they turned out great. He helped me sand them, putty them and paint them too! It was a full day project, much longer than I had anticipated, but we got it done. We borrowed and airless sprayer from our neighbors so they would look really nice and not have brush lines. They turned out so well and the girls love them! Thanks dad for all your help and thanks to Gary and Margie for giving us the beds. They used to be Gary's and his sister's when they were growing up. They were a dark brown and are solid oak. I wanted them white to lighten up the girl's room.

Toad

Our neighbors found this on their walk and brought it over. He was really cute and the kids absolutely loved it. Anna held it for a bit and then got scared. Lily and Ammon wanted to keep him. We let him escape in the backyard. The kids are hoping he will be there in the morning.

Water + Dirt = Muddy Mess and Fun!

We had some friends over today to jump on the tramp with the sprinklers. The only thing about it is that we don't have grass so it made a huge muddy mess! After the kids had had enough jumping they got out and played in the mud and got really dirty! The pictures don't do justice! Then we had them jump on the tramp again to rinse off in the sprinkler. They still had tons of dirt on them and it all ended up in the bottom of the tub. They are happy and clean now and they had a great time. I had fun watching them. I just need to spray off the patio now because it is covered in mud too! Thanks for coming over Heather!

My baby is 2!

Anna turned 2 on Saturday. I can't believe how quickly the past two years have gone by. They have been so fun with Anna around. She is such a delightful little girl and makes everyone smile. Everyone comments on her huge chubby cheeks! She came out with big cheeks and they have stayed! They are getting smaller, but they are the most kissable little cheeks ever!
Saturday we were up at Donner Lake for a work party for Adam so we didn't celebrate Anna's birthday until Sunday. We had our neighbors over for dinner and cake and ice cream. Anna absolutely adores our them. Gay and Dwain are the very best neighbors you could ask for in the whole world! They are so kind and share everything with us. We are always borrowing things from them and the kids want to go play with them and their dogs all the time. They are sort of like grandparents to our kids. Their two kids are just married with no children yet, so they treat ours like they are their own. It is great! Whenever they are in their back yard Anna will walk over to the fence and say hi. I am just glad they haven't gotten sick of us yet!
Anyway, we had them over for dinner and had a great time. They got Anna this little puppy that sings and talks and she won't put it down. She will not let Ammon or Lily touch it and if they do she screams! She took it shopping with us yesterday and she sleeps with it and she puts it in her highchair next to her when she eats. She gives it kisses and tells me she has a cute puppy. It is so sweet. She puts in the little pack and play we got her and carries it around the house. We also got her one of those popcorn poppers that you push around the house and boy was that a hit! Grandma Margie made her a purple blanket for her new bed. She loves all her presents!
I made her a fun butterfly cake which she didn't eat, but loved the ice cream. She blew out the candles about four different times because she thought it was so fun. She would have done it more if we had let her. She loved us singing happy birthday to her too! It was a really fun and special day! Thank you Anna for being a part of our family and for making us all so happy! We love you!

Eee Who!

Anna has picked up on a new and very cute phrase. I often say to the kids when they are not listening to me, "You who!" The other day I wasn't listening really well and so Anna said to me, "Eee who momma, eee who!" Now, whenever I don't respond immediately, or if she just wants my attention, I'll hear her say in her sweet voice, "Eee who momma, eee who." How I love my sweet little Anna!

First Day of School 2009

This was taken on Ammon's first day of school. All the others of him were the second week.
Lily sitting by her friend Colby who we carpool with.Lining up to go in for her 1st day!

Excited for playground time!

Ammon started school last Monday and Lily started yesterday. We are on year round here so they will have November, March and July off. They both have fantastic teachers this year! Thank goodness! We are excited for a great year of school! I can't believe Lily is in Kindergarten! She was so excited yesterday morning when I woke her up. She said she was so excited to go that day and the 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th days too! She is so different from Ammon in that aspect. That kid has never really begged to go to school, quite the opposite. He is happy once he gets there, but Lily's optimistic and exciting attitude has been so refreshing! Ammon is enjoying school so far and we love his teacher! I hope they both learn a lot and love learning this year.

"Ga Ga Gone"

The girls are exhausted after a long and fun week with Grandpa!

"Ga Ga Jeep!"

Buckled up and ready to go!

Pouty faces because Grandpa is leaving! Ammon refused to be in the picture!

Driving Grandpa's jeep. He was in heaven!

Gathering bullets.

Painting the beds.

Sanding the beds.

Lunch at Ammon's school.

Picnic on the porch.

Playing with Tykota in Fallon. He was in a baseball tournament but had to leave early because he got hit in the eye with the ball. I wish I had a picture, it was pretty bad!

Grandpa is gone. That is what Anna keeps saying. My dad has been here for a week now and we have had so much fun with him! We really put him to work! I had him babysitting, doing afternoon carpool, working on Adam's truck, helping Adam with the boat, painting and sanding furniture, watering plants and trees, playing with the kids, doing dishes, cleaning the chapel, riding the four wheeler, and taking us for a jeep ride. It was great to visit with him and have him around to help with the kids. We went and had lunch with Ammon at school this week and Ammon felt so special to have his grandpa there. He was also very excited when Grandpa picked him up from school in his jeep. All the kids love his jeep. Anna wanted to go home with him today. She kept saying, "Ga Ga jeep! Ga Ga jeep!" He took her and Ammon for a ride around the cul-de-sac and she did not want to get out. I don't know that she would have gone all the way home with him, but she sure loves him and his jeep! Dad, thanks for coming! It was a treat. We hope you can make it back soon!

We love it when any of our grandmas and grandpas visit. It is such a treat! Our kids are so spoiled. They have the very best grandparents in the whole world! Our kids also absolutely love and adore all their grandparents too! Margie had the kids until the night before my dad came and the kids did not miss me at all! They love Grandma Margie and Grandpa Gary so much! They have a had a super-dose of grandparents this summer and it has been wonderful! Thanks to all our wonderful grandmas and grandpas! We love you and miss you all!

Gifts galore!

I just wanted to post a picture of all the wonderful gifts I was given at a baby shower the other night that was put on by two women in my ward. I can't believe how kind and generous everyone was. They called last week and said, "Do you have anything going on next Wednesday evening?" I said, "No." Then they said, "Now you do, come over to the Goddard's at 7:00 for your baby shower!" Wow! This really is an amazing ward. The people are so kind and loving. We feel so blessed to be a part of it. Thanks to everyone for your kindness! Our little guy will be happy to have so many nice things!
